Another season seems to have passed. I've assembled another compilation of music taken from 4 sides of live jams on cassette. If you're like me (and most people?), you're always the most critical of your own work. The more attachment you have to a piece, the more you're likely to find every flaw it contains (real or imagined). One thing I love about my process right now is that everything I record is captured in such a fleeting nature, I feel like more of a documentarian than a composer. I can't critique these tracks much more than I could critique a fond memory, and so I'm left with music that is uniquely my own but perhaps only as momentary impression of the minutes in which it occurred.
